Charlie Karp- Musician:
A talented and passionate guitarist as a young kid, Charlie Karp’s career in music began when he left high school at the age of 16 to tour with legendary R&B artist Buddy Miles. He went on to record four albums with Miles while still a teenager, including the Gold Record album, Them Changes. Over the years, Charlie’s talent has gotten him gigs with Jimi Hendrix, Aerosmith, Eric Clapton, Joan Jett, and Billy Joel, among others, and he’s been signed by RCA and A&M Records. His commercial work has given us “The Incredible, Edible Egg,” as well as songs for both documentaries and feature films.
Bruce Carter- Lyricist:
Lead lyricist Bruce Carter burst on to the music scene later in life, after a long and successful career in insurance. He first indulged his love of lyrics by writing a few ditties for friends and colleagues; the enthusiastic response he received, (especially from one "true believer") spurred him on to do more, and in just a short time he’s developed an impressive portfolio of songs. He’s an idea-creator and fun-maker, and his many children’s songs for zoos, blues tunes for rescue missions, and ballads for health advocacy groups have earned him the respect of longtime musicians.
Now, with Charitable Giving through Music, Charlie and Bruce have teamed up to produce the songs sure to raise money, serious money, for your nonprofit organization. Contact them today, but be warned: You just may end up with one of their toe-tapping tunes stuck in your head!
